I consider myself a depression lifer. I find it very hard to believe that there will ever be a time that depression is not a factor in my life at all, not even as a dormant…

One of my biggest pet peeves is the concept that this can just go away. I’m always gonna be me and me is always gonna have a series of genetic mental disorders and I feel like the sooner people accept that about themselves (of course, I’m not referring to situational depression/anxiety) the sooner they can get to a more possible functionality. Every time I’ve thought I got “over” BDD, I ended up being even more wrecked the next time I looked side-eyed in the mirror.
